What the app accesses

To write alt text, the app reads your store's products: product titles, product types and product images, including any existing alt text. It writes alt text back to product images when you approve a suggestion or turn on automatic mode. The app does not access customers, orders or payment information.

What we store

• Your store's domain and the access token Shopify issues to the app.
• Your app settings and the number of images processed each month.
• Alt text suggestions, with the product title and image link they belong to.

We do not store or process personal data about your customers.

How images are processed

To generate alt text, product image links and product titles are sent to Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes them to return a description and does not use API data to train its models. Data is sent over encrypted connections.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app, your access token is removed right away. All other data for your store is deleted when Shopify sends its shop data deletion request, 48 hours after uninstall.
